The GHS Georgette Boosters are part of the umbrella organization Georgetown Performing Arts Alliance. As a GPAA member, the Boosters contribute volunteer hours in exchange for funding that supplements the team’s budget. The Boosters also organize other fundraisers throughout the year. Fundraising is an important function that allows the team to purchase dance costumes, charter buses for travel to competitions, hold team social events, and more.

All parents and legal guardians of Georgette team members are members of the Georgette Boosters, and everyone’s help is needed. Booster meetings are held once a month and usually last about an hour. The December meeting has been cancelled, so the remaining meeting dates for 2009-10 are Jan. 12, Feb. 9, Mar. 9,  Apr. 13, and May 11 at 7 pm.

The Executive Board is elected each spring for the following school year; the board meets at least once a month, with meetings usually lasting about an hour. Being an active Booster is fun and rewarding, and is a great way to show your daughter that you support her and her team and to meet other parents. If your daughter is a Georgette and you have not yet found a volunteer job for the year, contact the Volunteer Coordinator.
